Yousef Emara
Board Member

Yousef is a medical school student at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. From a young age, he displayed a deep conviction in protecting the environment. His first contribution to water conservation began with a petition launched in 8th grade to limit Nestlé’s water withdrawals in Michigan, which has been signed by 171,000 people and counting. A year after starting his petition, he connected with MCWC and has been working closely with the organization to raise awareness about the environmental impact of water bottling companies’ pumping activities. In 2021, Yousef produced and directed a short film on the topic titled “White Water: The Turbulent Story of Bottled Water in Michigan.” Yousef officially joined MCWC’s board in April 2022.
