CONSTRUCTION JOB COORDINATOR TO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

POSITION SUMMARY:
Pacific Outdoor Living is seeking qualified professionals with three levels of experience:
1. Project Manager: supervises 6 to 8 different jobs at one time. These jobs range from $70K to 500K. He is responsible for getting the jobs done on time and within budget. He would work with our In-House Crews that specialize in Demolition, Pavers, Masonry, Irrigation, and Planting, and with subs that do the steel, concrete, and plaster for pools.
2. VP of Production – Operations - Oversees the 6 to 8 crews under him
3. VP of Business Development - Improves POL systems and expands them locally and in new geographical areas. This construction executive would have experience in expanding similar construction ventures, can learn and help improve Pacific Outdoor Living’s systems and strategies, and ensure they are solidly in place, and then help export those in an organized, systematic manner.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES :
· Project Manager – runs jobs directly
· Oversees 6 to 8 projects at one time.
· Coordinates the various trades of the job by getting it done in the correct sequence resulting in an on-time completion
· Keeps the quality in to POL standards
· Solves design issues and makes workable suggestions.
· Tracks and makes jobs profitability and keeps daily reports of such.
· Knows POL estimating system and issues Change Orders
· Knows how to build all elements of outdoor construction. Able to identify from plans and in the field future problems and come up with solutions.
· Must have a good understanding of timeline and how long things should take. And be able to get our crews to hit those timelines.
· Must be able to successfully work out a schedule in sequence that will result in effective and profitable on time job completion.
· Has good communication skills to get others to execute, and handle the customers
· He must be able to manage others and get things done.
· Must have good organizational skills.
· Maintains daily and weekly reports on job progress and profitability
CAPABILITIES/KEY COMPETENCIES:
· In-depth knowledge of construction techniques and materials, especially in masonry, pools, hardscape, soft-scape and woodwork.
· Strong communication and project management skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· 5-10 years of experience in construction.
· Experience in value engineering construction projects.
